Words are Stones’ project aims at involving NGO activists and European citizens in stopping cultural, social, political and media legitimization of racism and xenophobia in the political and public debate.
Objectives
- To analyze political discourses that exacerbate xenophobia, intolerance and discrimination against migrants, refugees and minorities
- To enhance civil society organizations, European citizens and institutions capacity to prevent and respond to hate speech
- To involve European youth in campaigns countering hate speech against immigrants, refugees and minorities
- To sensitize politicians promote intercultural dialogue, human rights protection and a pacific coexistence among nationals and people coming from other countries

- Production of 6 National and 1 Comparative Report identifying the recurring topics, stereotypes and prejudices towards immigrants and refugees
- Organization of pan-European meetings of activists and citizens

- Preparation and implementation of the European Campaign for rights, against xenophobia
