“SalonIC” is a pluralist festival that reveals Thessaloniki as a timeless city that welcomes and promotes mutual respect and intercultural dialogue among diverse groups. The festival is an initiative of ANTIGONE in collaboration with Onassis Scholarship Association fellows and takes place with the participation of numerous local NGOs, municipal actors, cultural organizations and independent artists.
Objectives
- To point out Thessaloniki as a city of arrival and co-existence
- To highlight the significance of the Cultural Neighborhood for diverse groups of citizens through the process of place branding
- To strengthen sharing of common experiences, mutual understanding, collaboration and coexistence far from prejudice and intolerance
- To raise awareness on the importance of equal participation and active involvement within the local community of Thessaloniki

- Historical tour in the Cultural Neighborhood of the Municipality of Sykies-Neapolis where the Festival takes place
