Concluding Conference in Brussels, January 21st, 2015
On 19th-22th of January we visited the city of Brussels, for the presentation of our results of the project "Youth is Tolerance- Combating anti-Roma stereotypes among young people."
Three young volunteers from Thessaloniki, one from Berlin and one from the Hague, travelled to the capital of Belgium to be part of the Greek mission- ANTIGONE team.
They toured in the city, tasted chocolates, ate local specialities, but also presented on an interactive way what where their activities, viewing photos and videos. Of course, emphasis was given to the ratio of young people, who presented the results of operations in Roma and non-Roma members of Youth Task Force Group.
Dimitris stressed that young Roma who participated in the project had the opportunity to leave the confines of the community, participate in art workshops, travel and to have their voices heard. George noted that the non-Roma participants had the opportunity to socialize with Roma and to determine whether ultimately differ or resemble.
Thank Mate for great pictures, Elizabeth for support and Mr. Vardakis for his interest and the great city tour.
Final destination: Thessaloniki & Volos- to present the Greek project results.
