Purpose:
Informing, raising awareness and educating the general public on ways to combat violence and stereotypes, as well as creating modern educational tools which can be used for dissemination in public. Digital media and tools of high aesthetic and artistic value are going to be created, through the collaboration of ANTIGONE’s educators, with young artists, cartoonists and graphic designers, journalists, animation developers and IT specialists.
Objectives:
• Raising public awareness on stereotypes and the violence that originates from them.
• Enrichment of free material available for combatting stereotypes, to put into use by teachers and youth workers.
• Engaging adolescents and young adults to think about stereotypes combatting scenarios, through an interactive application.
Project activities:
A. Creation of 20 videos, each lasting up to 60 seconds, with attractive and up-to-date information addressed to people of various ages and different social groups (animation video spots). The videos will be used:
– firstly, as part of a campaign to combat stereotypes, to promote peaceful conflict resolution, etc. Through their script-content, various target groups will be reached, hopefully enriching the usual target group of ANTIGONE’s previous projects.. Viewers “test” whether they act outside stereotypes, while their curiosity will be triggered to get more deeply informed.
– In addition, the videos can be used as part of non-formal education workshops, at schools, with groups of young adults, parents, teachers, various work environments, etc.
ANTIGONE collaborates with AddArt to create the videos.
B. Development of an application for mobile phones and tablets. Creation of a game application (gamification) that activates the interest, especially of young people, in peaceful methods of conflict resolution and dominant stereotypes.
The application uses material from ANTIGONE’s projects and is presented in a gamified form with the method of gamification.
C. Educational workshops using the digital media created within the project.
D. promotional events
Target groups:
Children, adolescents and adults with all kinds of vulnerabilities and not only, who are affected by the pandemic crisis and / or have an inability to socialize and communicate.

1/9/2021 – 31/ 12/2021. Dissemination, workshops and information events continue after the end of the project
